Bhopal's war memorial covers about 12 acres on Arera Hills, near M.P. Nagar and the Secretariat, and it reads more like a park than a monument. The 62-foot Shaurya Stambh stands for the three services, granite for the Army, grey for the Navy, white for the Air Force, with the names of martyred soldiers inscribed on glass boards around it. A red sculpture becomes a Namaskar from the main axis and a drop of blood from another. Give your time to the underground museum and its galleries on the wars with Pakistan and China. Opened in October 2016.
