Sir Hugh Rose Island

Sir Hugh Rose Island

Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Three names and nobody living on it.

Three names and nobody living on it. The island answers to Sir Hugh Rose, to plain Rose Island, and sometimes to Little Neill Island, that last one worth keeping straight because Neil is a separate island and the two get confused. It lies 40 km northeast of Port Blair, uninhabited, with nothing on it arranged for a visitor. That makes it something you pass rather than something you plan: worth a look from the boat if your route through the archipelago goes near, not worth hiring one for.
