Nowhere else in the Indian subcontinent has a confirmed active volcano. This uninhabited island in the Andaman Sea has the only one, and the only active volcano along the whole chain running from Sumatra to Myanmar. It lies about 138 km northeast of Port Blair, well beyond anything you can fit around other plans. Go for the fact of it — an active volcano out in open water with nobody living on it — rather than for anything you will do once you are there.
