A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it reveals sophisticated town planning, a citadel with middle and lower towns, and an advanced system of water reservoirs and drains.
When to go
November to February is the best time; it pairs well with the Rann of Kutch and the Rann Utsav season.
Why visit

Cultural notes
Dholavira is one of only a handful of Harappan sites showing a large sign in the Indus script and elaborate stone architecture, marking it as a major urban centre of its age.
How to reach
By Road: Dholavira is about 250 km from Bhuj by road across the Rann causeways. By Air and Train: Bhuj has the nearest airport and railway station; the site is remote, so a car is the practical way to reach it.
