Twenty-three acres on the Heingang hill, ground sacred to Marjing, the Meitei deity of polo and horses, laid out as a complex for Sagol Kangjei. About four of those acres are grazing for Manipuri ponies, and that is the part worth your time: the breed the game was played on, on the hill its god belongs to. The world's tallest equestrian statue of a polo player is up here too, and it is what most people photograph. Come for the hilltop and let the statue be a bonus.
