The fourth largest island in the chain, and one that most island-hopping plans quietly skip. It lies at the southern end of the archipelago, 88 km of open water south of Port Blair, which makes going there a decision rather than a detour. At 707 sq km there is a great deal of island for however many days you give it. The Onge called it Gaubolambe, a name considerably older than anything printed on a tourist map, and it still sits within South Andaman district on paper.
