Nohsngithiang Falls

Seven separate streams over the lip of a limestone cliff, 315 metres down and about 70 metres across on average, but only while it is raining. Outside the wet season there is nothing much to see, and that is the whole planning problem with this one. In full spate the segments stretch most of the way along the cliff face. Come late in the day, when the low sun lights the water and does most of the work for you. It is a kilometre south of Mawsmai village, and the Sohra area holds several more falls, Nohkalikai and Dain Thlen among them, fed by the same rain.
