Lawngtlai

The Pawi, also called the Hakha Chin, are what set Lawngtlai apart from the other district headquarters. Their festivals are their own: Hlukhla Kut is kept here where much of the state keeps Chapchar Kut, and the town is the administrative centre of the southern district that carries its name. It is a long way down the state, and no single sight is waiting when you arrive. Come for the people and the far south, and line the trip up with the festival calendar if you can.
