Mizoram State Museum

Four floors of collection in Aizawl, arranged as five galleries — textiles, ethnology, history, anthropology and natural history — plus an archaeology terrace. It is an ethnographic museum first, so the textile gallery is the one that earns the visit; the rest is broad rather than deep. Small enough to do properly in an hour or so, and the right first stop if you have just arrived in Mizoram and want the shape of the place before you go looking at it.
