Probably 6th century, probably Vakataka, and left alone on a forested plateau some 60 km east of Warangal until the ASI recorded it, abandoned, in 2012. Photographs on social media did the rest in 2017. What stands is a square sanctuary open to the inside of its own tower, a low wall around the entrance court, and relief sculpture crowded inside and out, worn enough that you want early or late light rather than noon. The ASI was ready to restore it in late 2019 and was waiting on local permission; the vegetation volunteers cleared had largely grown back by 2020. It is fragile, and it is in informal worship.
