In Hajipur, at Rambhadra near Helabazar, the object of worship is a pair of footprints: local tradition holds that Rama stopped here on his way to Janakpur and left them behind. This is a working neighbourhood shrine rather than a monument, and it looks like one. Rama Navami is the day it comes alive, with a small fair held on the eve. Whatever was excavated at Ramchaura has gone to the Patna Museum, so there is nothing archaeological left to see on site. Worth a stop if Hajipur is already on your route, not a trip in itself.
