A family temple, in the literal sense: Mitthu Mistri Thakur established it at Chunabhatti in Darbhanga district in March 1949, it carries his name, and his sons and their descendants have maintained it ever since he died in 1982. On an ordinary day a small number of local people come and that is all. The numbers rise for Maha Shivaratri, Shraavana, Naga Panchami and Kartik Purnima. This is not somewhere to travel for. If you are in Darbhanga on one of those days it is a real, used thing rather than a monument, which has its own value.
