One object justifies the detour: a Panchamukhi Shivling, five-faced, a form found in very few other temples. It is granite, and the temple committee describes it as invaluable. The setting is a village, Kusedhi in Pinjri panchayat, Barbigha block of Sheikhpura district, seven kilometres from the block office, and the congregation is local. Nothing here is laid on for visitors, but the temple is open to the public and devotees do come from outside. Ask in the village if you cannot find it.
