Chandigarh Bird Park

Near Sukhna Lake, the Forest Department has fenced six and a half acres into four aviaries, two small ones and two you walk through, each roughly two hundred by a hundred and fifty feet with fifty-eight feet of flying height overhead. Around 1,200 birds of 48 species live in them, aquatic, land and tame, several of them exotic. It opened in November 2021 and is loosely modelled on Jurong Bird Park in Singapore, which is a comparison worth lowering your expectations against. Good for an hour with children, less so if you came for the birds of this region.
