Over 4,000 objects from Goa's farming past, implements and vessels and tools, gathered by the artist, curator and restorer Victor Hugo Gomes and open to the public in the coastal village of Benaulim since 2009. Gomes is blunt about the terms: self-funded, not registered as an NGO, and meant to be something other than a room where you read labels and move on. The collection is an argument about what agrarian Goa actually used. It is small and rural and easy to drive past between beaches. If you have any interest in how the place worked before tourism, make time for it.
