In Birbhum, West Bengal, the hot springs at Bakreshwar draw as many people as the temple does. There are several, each at a different temperature, with bathing tanks built around them, and the hottest is too hot to sit in. The temple itself is a Shakti Peetha; the Goddess is worshipped here as Mahishmardini, and her Bhairava as Vakranath. Give the springs as much of your time as you give the darshan.
