A Shiva temple at Legship in Gyalshing district, standing along the banks of the River Rangeet. Several episodes of the Mahabharata are attached to the spot, and that is what makes it a pilgrimage site rather than another village shrine. The Kirati people call it Kirateshwar Mahadev Thaan; most others simply say Shiv Mandir. The river does as much work here as the building, so do not rush it: walk down to the water, then come back up to the shrine. Go early if you want it quiet.
