Village

A small village of the Thangals, a sub-tribe of the Naga people, in the northern part of Manipur, 22 km south of the district headquarters at Senapati and 42 km from Imphal, in Kangpokpi tehsil of Senapati district. It went by Yaikongpao before it took its present name. This is a working village rather than a sight, with nothing arranged for visitors, so the reason to come is the people and the road that gets you there. Worth it only if you are already heading up the Senapati road with time in hand.
