You look down into this one. There is no superstructure and no roof, only stone walls open to the sky, with the lingam set four metres below the present ground level. A second, smaller lingam beside it is called Mahakali to the central Mahakala, and local tradition makes the two of them the parents of Lingaraja, whose eastern compound wall is right there. Eleventh century, on the road running towards Hatasahi. A two-minute stop, and a strange one, but worth making if you are walking Old Town properly.
