What stands in the cella is a circular yonipitha and nothing else; the lingam is long gone, and people still worship at it, which tells you something about how these Old Town shrines survive. The sanctum floor measures about three square metres. Thirteenth century, Ganga period as far as the architecture lets anyone say, east-facing, inside the Gosagaresvar precinct on Ratha road. Vaital temple is 200 metres off and Lingaraja a kilometre east. See it on a walk between those two rather than as a stop in its own right.
