Bijoy sagar

Be honest with yourself about what this is. Bijoy Sagar, also called Mahadeb Dighi, is one of Udaipur's largest lakes at 750 feet by 450 feet, and the neighbourhood packed around it is dense. A drain on the north-eastern side carries domestic sewage into the water, households tip solid waste in as well, and people still bathe, wash and fish here. That combination makes it a working part of the town rather than a place to spend an afternoon. Worth a look if you are already in Udaipur, not worth a detour.
