The dome is the reason to come: it copies the roofline of a Tripuri village hut, then carries a stupa-like structure on top, which is about as clear a picture of the state's mixed religious history as any single building gives you. Krishna Manikya built it in 1760, the year Agartala became the capital, in honour of the fourteen deities known together as the Chaturdasha Devata. Devotees come for the kharchi festival. The temple and the surrounding capital complex have been under refurbishment since May 2023, so check what is open before you plan a day around it.
