Panipat is a historic city in Haryana, about 95 km north of Delhi on NH-44, renowned as the site of three decisive battles fought in 1526, 1556 and 1761 that repeatedly reshaped power in northern India. Today it is a major industrial hub known as the 'City of Weavers,' famous for textiles, handlooms and recycled yarn.

Winter (October to January) is best, with cool, pleasant weather; summers are extremely hot, reaching up to 45 degrees C.

Pinjore Gardens (Yadavindra Gardens)

Yadavindra Gardens, popularly called Pinjore Gardens, is a Mughal-era terraced garden in Pinjore near Panchkula, built around 1661 by Nawab Fidai Khan under Aurangzeb. Laid out on seven descending terraces in the Shivalik foothills, it holds the Shish Mahal, Rang Mahal and Jal Mahal pavilions amid fountains and orchards.
