Shatavar Vatika Herbal Park, Hisar

The shatavar it takes its name from is one of a long list of endangered ayurvedic plants growing across these 125 acres on the Hisar-Dhansu road. The Haryana Forests Department runs it, and Deer Park is a kilometre away along the same link road, which makes the two an easy pairing — 6 km from the Hisar bus stand, 7 km from the railway station. This is a conservation planting rather than a landscaped garden, so go for the plants or do not go at all. An hour, at most.
