A bathing tank 17 km north-east of Yamunanagar and Jagadhari, on the Bilaspur road, held sacred by Hindus and Sikhs alike and also known as Gopal Mochan and Somsar Mochan. The legend is specific: killing a Brahmin is counted the gravest of sins, and a bath here is said to wash it off. That has kept the place in use long enough for it to rank with the 48 kos parikrama of Kurukshetra and Dhosi Hill among the oldest Vedic sites in Haryana. Nearby Bilaspur, a worn-down form of Vyas Puri, is where Ved Vyasa is held to have written the Mahabharata, on the bank of the Sarasvati near Adi Badri. Take all three in one run out of Yamunanagar.
