Lower Ghaghri Falls

Water drops 320 feet here into forest thick enough that the sun struggles to get through it, which matters if you are carrying a camera and is welcome if you are not. The Ghaghri, a tributary of the Auranga, makes the fall, and the sound of it carries through the trees. It ranks thirty-third among India's highest waterfalls, so come for the setting rather than the record. Netarhat is ten kilometres off, and the smaller Upper Ghaghri Falls sits four kilometres from Netarhat below the dam; take the two together or leave both.
