The state's first science centre opened in 2010 at Chiraundi in Morhabadi, with three permanent thematic galleries in a two-storey building on thirteen acres. It was developed by the National Council of Science Museums, the body behind science centres in other Indian cities, so expect that familiar format rather than anything particular to Jharkhand. Best treated as an hour or two with children, or somewhere to sit out heavy rain. Tagore Hill is right next door, which is the argument for making the trip at all.
