Tosham Hill range

Low hills — the average is 207 m — scattered around Tosham in a broken ring, which is what they are: the remnant outer rim of a collapsed volcanic chamber. The rock is Precambrian, dated to 732 million years, and Khanak is the largest and tallest of the group, with smaller outcrops at Nigana, Dadam and Dharan. It is a serious piece of geology in an unserious-looking landscape, and it works as a biodiversity pocket on the western-southern arm of the Aravalli leopard corridor. This is a landscape rather than a sight; come if rock and quiet are enough.
