The fourth city of Delhi is less a site than a set of leftovers. Muhammad bin Tughlaq walled it in 1326-27 against Mongol raids, enclosing everything between Qila Rai Pithora and Siri, then moved his capital to Daulatabad and came back again. Neither city nor fort survived. What is left surfaces in pieces: wall stretches along the road from Siri to the Qutub Minar, patches behind IIT, and Satpula, where the wall is thick enough to hold storerooms built into it. Go for Satpula and Khirki Masjid. Do not go expecting a fort, because South Delhi has grown over the rest.
